Employed Since 1992

Jeff Gibson graduated high school from Southwood High School in Shreveport, LA.  He then attended and graduated from Louisiana State University in Shreveport with a BS in Computer Science.  After graduation he joined R. P. Industries, Inc. (now known as The Parkes Companies, Inc.) as a Software/Database Developer.  His initial project was to develop a contract control system that was going to be used internally to handle Project Management operations.  The product, which went under the name Project Axis, was so successful, that R. P. Industries started a software company that handled selling Project Axis to other General Contracting firms across the nation.  In the late 90’s, development started on a new Project Management system that would allow the company to take advantage of new database and internet technologies.  This opened up the door for the Superintendents to take the product out in the field and be able to sync that field data with the database in the office.

The Parkes Companies is now looking at plans to not only enhance their current systems, but target the current mobile and tablet platforms which will give Superintendents and Project Managers even greater flexibility to get to their data.

Jeff has been playing keyboards/B3 for 26 years and has been playing professionally for 20 years.  He had the opportunity to play with his Heart tribute band Little Queen at Epcot Center in Orlando, FL in July of 2011 for 26,000 people.  Jeff continues to play with different bands in the Nashville area, as well filling in for bands in different places around the country.
